101 Ways to Die in the Old West of Globe-Miami
Bullion Plaza Museum’s Research Assistant, Lee Ann Powers, has been keeping a folder of ways people died in the early years of Globe and Miami. Whether it’s a lovesick cowboy, the lack of medical knowledge, or the many ways miners perished before safety measures were put in place, it turns out that our area is full of sad and unique ways the pioneers perished.
Lee Ann has been digitizing the Arizona Silver Belt and Arizona Record newspapers for over 12 years at the Bullion Plaza Museum, on a part-time basis. She and husband Rick have lived in Globe for 30 years, and both have a passion for Arizona and Globe-Miami history
