Waggin’ Vineyard & Estate, located in Globe, Arizona, is a jewel amidst the cactus, hills, and mines. While it is the terraced hillside that catches the traveler’s eye along US 60, it is the wine from those verdant grapes that makes them take a rest from their journey.
Tour a unique experience from the Territory of Arizona. Opened in 1910, two years before Arizona gained statehood, and served until the Fall of 1981.
~Full guided facility tours are available on Thursdays, Friday’s & Saturday’s at 1pm. For a minimum $10/person entry fee, these tours last for approximately 45 minutes and our guide will take you throughout the whole facility. 
~Self-Guided Tours. Pop in to enjoy our short information video (courtesy of APS) and wander on your own throughout the facility. Our staff will be on hand for any Q&A. For these self-guided tours, we will be open 11am-1pm on Thursday’s, Friday’s and Saturday’s for just a minimum $5 donation.

This ancient village is known today as Besh Ba Gowah. The term was originally given by the Apaches to the early settlement of Globe. Roughly translated, the term means “place of metal.”
The partially restored ruins, along with the adjacent museum provide a fascinating glimpse at the lifestyle of the people who occupied this region over two centuries before Columbus discovered the “New World.”
Besh Ba Gowah offers visitors a chance to explore the ruins, a museum that houses a large collection of Salado pottery and artifacts, botanical gardens, and a gift shop.
This former mine is now a unique, not-to-be-missed park — a community gem that is both educational and fun. There are things for all ages to enjoy, including a mining-themed playground, signs about history and geology/mining, antique mining artifacts, hiking trails, a 9-hole disc golf course, and picnic pavilions. The Gila County Museum, is located on the OLD West Highway in Globe. We’re in the 1920 Mine Rescue Station, and it’s all about history and service. The research library is one of the best places to find information on lost relatives or locating history on the local mining industry. The research volunteers will work with you to find the information you need. The history greeters are here to make your stay a fun filled time. They will assist you as you spend time at the Mine Rescue Station, The Gila County Museum its history and fun!
